We create new content and enhance existing content with interactivity. Then we deliver your software across multiple devices and platforms. Clients include Comcast, Macmillan/McGraw-Hill (Music, Psychology, and World Languages divisions), Hal Leonard Corporation, and technology-driven educational institutions such as the Berklee College of Music. We deliver software for the Web and mobile devices using HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, and the Web Audio API. Our specialty is work that requires high levels of interactivity, complex logic, and total customization.  We have a reputation for pleasing our clients in both creative and project management domains.

At ShearSpire Media, you will work with Steven Estrella, the company owner. Dr. Estrella brings an uncommon and valuable combination of experiences to interactive media development. He has an extensive background in the performing arts which informs his work in timeline based interactive media. Before founding ShearSpire Media in 2001, Dr. Estrella served as Director of Computer/Media Services for ten years at Temple University's Boyer College in Philadelphia, PA. He has more than thirty-years of experience in project management, software design, programming, and technology-enhanced teaching. His Ph.D. is in music education with an emphasis on experimental design and analysis in the social sciences, learning theories, computer programming, and technology-based instruction. In addition to his skills as a programmer, teacher, and musician, he also has a wealth of expertise in database design, audio processing, video editing, and graphic design. He is the author of several books including two textbooks on JavaScript and Dynamic HTML and one on music theory.

Much of the software we create for clients is proprietary. However, we have agreements which allow us to demonstrate selected applications to prospective clients in private settings.
